SoulDeep session vol.15 (Sept 2008)
September 28, 2008 07:09 AM PDT
Evening househeadz. Some amazing tunes out at the moment - too many to put in one mix so hope to be posting quite a few over the next month. As always, please let me know what you think. Enjoy Tracklisting: Misunderstanding (Frankie Feliciano mix) - Aaron Jerome

Greetings house lovers. Firstly, apologies…I recently realised that the track listing that I had attached to my last mix, SoulDeep session vol.13 (July 2008) was indeed the wrong one! I have now rectified this and the track listing that was previously there is in actual fact the one for my latest posting SoulDeep session vol.14 as seen below. Very confusing!

Quentin Harris proves once again on this mix that he is one of the best producers in the business at the moment. How many tunes in this guy working on at one time?

This mix covers a good mixture of house genres, kicking off with a fairly techy feel, then some old skool vibes, electro-house and finally developing into a more soulful affair. Check out the Frankie Knuckles mix of 'Blind' by New York hipsters Hercules & the Love Affair. Been loving that track for a while somehow never managed to squeeze it onto a mix till now.

...featuring wicked new tunes from Marc Evans (watch out for his forthcoming long player), Copyright and Frankie Feliciano. Elsewhere, that man DJ Spen is everywhere at once as usual under his Muthafunkaz guise bringing you two new classic remixes.
Enjoy Tracklisting: This here is house muzik - Mike Dunn & MD X-press

Some huge new tunes on this mix, each one as good as the next. Been diggin’ Dennis Ferrer’s ‘New Wave Renagade’ for the last month now – the strings in the mid-section are incredible. Also check out ‘Gotta have house’ by Knee Deep and DJ Spen - A modern day house anthem along the lines of The Jungle Brothers ‘I’ll House You’ and Eddie Amador’s ‘House Music’. Unfortunately though, I played out the instrumental version by accident so the old skool lyrics are missing!
Enjoy Rick Tracklisting: And (Kerri Chandler mix) – DJ Gregory

Vocal tunes have been in short supply in a lot of my latest mixes and I just thought I revisit some of the great modern classics that I've played over the last year since I've been doing this podcast by compiling them into one great mix. There's so many that just didn't make the grade, mainly due to time constraint on my GarageBand! Anyways, I hope you enjoy this as much as I did mixing it! Rick Tracklisting: Till the cops come knockin’ (Shelter mix) – Maxwell
